Life in Portland

At the start it was a little bit rough but we started getting involved with the ward. There are tons of student which is wonderful, because everyone is getting to know everyone at the same time. So far are favorite couple is the Rileys. They are leaving in December so we are sad, but we are already planning on her son, John, and Beca to be married in 21 or so years. Well after he gets off his mission of course. At first we had cockroaches they we pretty bad but Dad and Josh got on that right away. Also Every morning we get up and walk. There are three of us that go every morning. It is not a very fast pace walking, i think were just do it to get us started in the mornings. I really enjoy it once i get out of my warm bed.
Beca is doing great i think she is trying to move more and more. She can army crawl a little. She loves to play with toys and eat food. Her new favorite is bread with her cereal. well have to go I hope to post soon. i thought that i just needed a picture of josh on our new blog. K love ya bye.

A Day at the Beach

Josh, Beca, and I decided to get away before Josh's school started. So we traveled the pacific ocean. It took use about two hours to get to the Silver Sands motel. The motel we got was exactly what we wanted. We got an ocean front room for 77.76. very cheap and the rooms are very nice, small, but very nice. The weather was prefect it warm enough to play outside on the beach then come back in to the hotel to the warm pool. Beca went for her 1st swim. She is a natural. Josh would hold her stomach and she would kick and kick and kick. She had so much fun she didn't want to get out. She almost played through one of her naps.
We also walked around the little town of Rockaway Beach. It is a very small little town but amazing enough there was three fudge shops. We found a couple of shops that were very fun to look at. One was a tourist shop that had everything that you could think of. And there was a very expensive thrift shop. i think the name of it was trash and treasures. That store was one of my favorites. It was set up as an antique shop, quite and gotty, but it was full of DI stuff, very fun.
